First Aid Kit

I had some of my Royal Ranger students assemble a first aid kit. Here, for my own memory, is some of the random scribblings I made during my research. Please look elsewhere if you’re looking for a definitive guide on first-aid kits! This is part of my RoyalRanger sequence of pages.

First have kids come up with a list of things they think would be important...

1. Container (disposable plastic)

2. Band-aids

3. Gauze pads (sterile, general-purpose)

4. Cloth tape

5. Latex gloves

6. Bulk dressing

7. Occlusive dressing

8. Mini scissors? Tweezers???

9. Safety pins

10. Antiseptic solution/wipes, or povodine iodine

11. Mini first-aid handbook (if any can be found)

12. Waterproof matches (make their own?)

Medication (purchase for self)

1. Antibiotic ointment (purchase for self)

2. Tylenol/ibuprofen

3. Calamine/benadryl
